Swedish Dish Clothes
What Is a Swedish Dish Cloth - and Why I Don’t use Sponges anymore.
If you haven’t tried a Swedish dish cloth yet, you are in for a simple little swap that replaces several cleaning staples. These reusable cloths are an eco-friendly alternative to paper towels and sponge, and are perfect for cleaning up spills, wiping counters or washing dishes.
What they’re made of:
Swedish dish cloths are made from a blend of cellulose (wood pulp) and cotton. This combination of fibers makes them super absorbent, soaking up to 20 times their weight in liquid. They dry quickly which helps prevent funky sponge smell. They’re also fully compostable at the end of their life, breaking down naturally instead of ending up in the trash.
How to use them:
Wet your Swedish dish cloth to soften it, then use it just like you would a paper towel or sponge. After use, rinse and wring it out, then let it air dry flat or over your faucet. When it needs a deeper clean, you can toss it in the washing machine or the top rack of your dishwasher. With good care, each cloth can replace dozens of rolls of paper towels which saves you money and cuts down on waste.
Simple Wellness Co. has a Swedish dish clothes in a variety of prints and also a one of a kind Roslyn cloth.
